A Post Looking for a Sign

* image found here

So while on the hunt for our wedding bands, engraved, sterling and with any luck some custom tweaks, I came across the above Etsy site.  When I look at an Etsy site I specifically search an artists profile and/or blog if applicable.  This particular blog happens to have a contest every month!  So, as part of the contest AND as an omen to myself I am posting about Trudie's blog, one to increase my chances of winning those sweet little stacking rings and if I do win I will have my sign as to what shop I need to buy our rings from...yes, I know it's superstitious.

Wedding Details

Well, the details of our wedding are falling into place. Drinking out of mason jars is something I always thought was perfect for a backyard bash and these lanterns from IKEA are perfect for decor and to take home as a favour. Simple, elegant and unique...

Wedding Favour thoughts

Martha Stewart again, this with a little jar of flavoured sugar...perfection.

Parasol Dreams

Just a bit of beauty from Martha Stewart Weddings, this monogrammed parasol is lovely but I'm not a saver, in fact I'm a ruthless declutterer so what on earth would I do with later...I'm not a fan of decorating the house with wedding memories....still it's a picture that inspires.

Flowers

Flowers by Nicolette Camille, stunningly done but undone...

The modern day princess, by Jade Daniels. Love the fabric, it looks like the grown up version of a worn out paper bag, The Paper Bag Princess dress...not a bad concept to build your wedding on.

Wish Trees

Wish Tree's, I can't think of a better alternative to the traditional guest book. Whether as a centre piece or a fully grown tree outside. There is power in words "Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling like dew upon a thought, produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think." ~ Lord Byron
I think the colourful ones covered in post it's are a riot!

Wedding Card

This is so well done, and marriage really is an adventure isn't it...I must tuck this away and see if they can do a vintage Harley...another great Esty find of course, digitalpaperie

My Kind of Wedding

Beauty is all about contrasts, a pretty dress and rugged boots for example...yes something to keep in mind...This dress is by another Etsy seller, Ktjean.

Flower Girl Dreams

If I was to have a flower girl I would seriously consider this dress, heck I want it myself. It's created by Etsy dealer ILuvTutuMuch.

Today I'm cramming in a few goodies as I suspect I'm going to be quite busy for a bit. PeaceKeeper Cosmetics has long been in my periphery so today I'd like to point out their fab. Kiss Museum http://www.iamapeacekeeper.com/kissmuseum.htm. I love checking out what everyone is grateful for, it reminds me that I have some people I need to pucker up for!

As always I have weddings on the brain right now...how I can obsess so much about a simple backyard bar-b-que is a testament to my love of well-researched details I guess. Sweet Romance online has a decent selection of jewellery but this bee hairband would be adorable at a garden party/wedding.

And finally there's Martha, her poetry wrapped box is adorable and I fully intend to use this template with my own wedding favours. It will definately be re-usable!
